Meet our School Administrators

Mrs. Matia Goodwin
Camden is home for me and I love working in the community where I grew up. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from South Carolina State University, a Masters Degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Cambridge College. This is my 25th year in education and I have loved every moment of it. My experiences include teaching 3rd - 7th grade, teacher of the gifted and talented, curriculum coach, and assistant principal. This is my 13th year as an elementary school principal and I love our Camden Elementary School Colts.
I am excited about our school's implementation of Leader In Me this year. Our students will learn the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Dr. Stephen Covey, participate in schoolwide and classroom leadership roles, and set and track goals. Our mission is "Empowering Everyone Everyday".
On a personal note, I am married to Bryce Goodwin and we have two children, Landon and Alyson.
Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Beth White
I am so happy to begin my 5th year as Assistant Principal here at Camden Elementary School, our Camden Colts are the best! I started my career in education in 2006 after graduating from the University of South Carolina-Upstate with my bachelor's in Elementary Education. In 2009, I earned a Master’s degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and in 2016 I earned a Master’s in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. This will be my 17th year in education and I have loved every minute!
Before becoming an Assistant Principal, I taught 5th grade for 2 years and 2nd grade for 10 years in both Lexington Two and Richland School District Two. My husband and I have one sweet daughter. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, visiting the mountains, and spending time with my family.
I believe that all students can reach their full potential through communication and a positive environment. I look forward to working with every one of you as we go through your child’s educational journey this school year.
