Introduction
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to Camden Elementary School where we are “Empowering Everyone Everyday”. We are excited about continuing the “Leader In Me'' implementation this year and increasing student leadership opportunities at CES. Our COLTs will learn the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Dr. Steven Covey and begin setting and tracking goals. This year, our theme is “CES scores when we Empower Everyone Everyday”.
We believe all students can and will learn at Camden Elementary School. Schools are places for children and our goal is to provide the best possible program for each child. We focus on meeting the needs of all students and providing a safe and engaging environment for learning to occur. We are delighted to have you as a part of our CES family. We look forward to kicking off this year with a positive attitude and a renewed commitment to excellence.
We expect all students to be successful. Our job is to provide appropriate activities and to encourage students to do their best. We believe working together as a TEAM (students, parents and teachers) will ensure student success. Students must listen in class, participate in activities and be respectful. Homework should be completed daily and all students should READ everyday! Parents can assist by teaching their children the value of education and respect for school authority.
We want all parents to feel welcome at CES. Communication between parents and the CES staff is vital. Please feel free to share information and concerns. A phone call to the teacher or school office (803-425-8960) can arrange a conference with your child’s teacher or the principal.
The 2024-2025 school year will be one filled with tremendous student success. Let’s renew our commitment and continue to work as a TEAM...because we believe that Together Everyone Achieves More!
Sincerely,
Matia Goodwin, Principal
Beth White, Assistant Principal
